Gloria Marshall has served Spring ISD for many years and in numerous capacities, since she joined the district in August 1974 as a teacher at Spring Elementary School. Marshall became principal at Jenkins Elementary School in 1982, and in 1985 she began her long career as principal at Spring High School. She remained there until 2007 when she was selected to serve as the new principal induction coordinator for Spring ISD. She is probably best-known for the many years she spent as principal at Spring High School where her love and support for students will long be remembered. Her focus on people was instrumental in raising parental and community support for booster clubs, band, prom and many more activities. The many people whose lives she has touched will always remember her gracious and respectful demeanor. Spring ISD’s first “green” school, opened in August 2011, is named Gloria Marshall Elementary School.
