Brandi Rodney has been named principal of Dekaney High School. Ms. Rodney has more than 17 years of experience in education. She has worked for Spring ISD for 12 years on various campuses in the district, including Hirsch Elementary and Westfield High School. She has been at Dekaney High School since January 2018, where she first served as an Associate Principal and has served as the Lead Administrator at the Ninth Grade Center since 2020. She has also served in district roles in both Workforce Development and as an Academic Linguistic Specialist. Ms. Rodney is biliterate in Spanish and English, and spent several months learning abroad at the La Universidad de Compultense in Madrid, Spain. She holds a Masters of Education with a teaching English as a second or foreign language certification from Grand Canyon University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Dillard University.
